Outsports.com has written on Fred, and his return to the ring. Check out an excerpt below, and click “Read More” to see the rest of the article.

Fred Rosser didn’t expect to be a free agent last October. Wrestling at the time as Darren Young, he had just done some media interviews when the WWE let him know they wouldn’t be extending his contract.

“It was a little rough,” Rosser told Outsports in the middle of a heavy training schedule in Los Angeles. “And it happened right before my birthday. It was rough. But nothing lasts forever.”

Now Rosser, nicknamed “Mr. No Days Off,” is returning to the ring for his first post-WWE match Friday, March 9, in his hometown of Union, N.J. He’ll take on 425-pound Fallah Bahh, who is nearly double Rosser’s weight.

While he loves the physical and entertainment natures of professional wrestling, Rosser has bigger aspirations than title belts. Having come out publicly in 2013, Rosser has since committed much of his life to ending bias toward LGBTQ people and being a beacon of hope for people facing hate and bigotry across our society.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – A new program in the South End, that is set to tackle food insecurity and hunger, got some help Tuesday from some guys sure to make it a knock out.

WWE superstars Titus O’Neil and Darren Young made an appearance at the South End Children Café’s get to know us reception.

The new program, set to open November 2 at 33 Rensselaer Street, will offer free, healthy dinners Monday through Friday to local kids and their families.

It’s a mission that is not unfamiliar to Titus.

“Titus has recently been in the news for feeding people who are homeless in restaurants,” Tracie Killar, Director of the South End Café told News 10. “So the connection for us is really there.”

Organizers with the program say almost half of the households in Albany’s South End with children under the age of 18, live at or below the federal poverty level. (source)
