The Year Recapped: 2017

2017 was certainly an interesting and unforgettable year for sure. It was a great year for the site, however a difficult one for Darren. DYoung was injured once again early in the year during an episode of “Main Event”, which caused him to miss out on several months of action. Despite his injury, he participated in numerous community events with the WWE throughout the year, and was apart of WrestleMania 33 Axxess and WrestleMania Weekend in Orlando in April! He also had an exclusive interview WWE & DX legend Sean “X-Pac” Waltman, which was an riveting interview as we learned more about Fred Rosser, the person. He returned to the ring in September after being cleared participating at the Raw brand house shows. He’s also featured in WWE 2K18, which is available now! He also attended the NY Latino Film Festival with fellow Superstar, Kalisto in October. He also attended “WWE Night” with fellow Superstars The Miz, Becky Lynch and Enzo Amore at the LA Clippers game, also in October. He was released on October 29, 2017 with Emma and Summer Rae, which stunned the entire WWE Universe and their fellow Superstars. Then, he turned 34 just 4 days later on November 2nd. Darren has not publicly commented on his release or posted on social media since the news of the release, so I just want him to know that I love him, and I hope he is doing okay. And I’m always here for you!!

Despite the heartbreaking news of DYoung being released, we hope he continues to #BlockTheHate in 2018 and we’ll see him back in a wrestling ring soon! Below are the events of 2017 that were recapped for you. Be sure to check out those hot stories below:
